On October 25th, the president of the Uriach Foundation, Dr. Joan Uriach Marsal, Emeritus Full Academician, was honored with the Ramón Jordi award by the Catalan Society of the History of Pharmacy (SCHF).
This award, established in memory of the founder and first president of the SCHF, Dr. Ramón Jordi i González (1926-2007), recognizes the career of an individual in the field of the History of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The award was presented by delegation during the XVI History of Pharmacy Conference, organized by the SCHF, held in Cerdanya on October 6th and 7th this year, and was later given to Dr. Joan Uriach in a ceremony. In attendance, apart from the awardee, were his children Mr. Joaquin Uriach and Ms. Marta Uriach, Mr. Javier Navarro, trustee of the Uriach Foundation, as well as the president and vice-president of the SCHF.
