Born in Barcelona and interested in art at an early age, Parramon won the Barcelona Youth Prize at age 18.
In 1960 he founded the Parramon school (later Parramón Ediciones SA.), developing drawing and painting correspondence courses and authoring more than 40 books that have been translated into eight languages: English, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Portuguese and Japanese.
n 1967 he began teaching at the old Massana School in Barcelona, one of the most important art schools in Spain, and became an active member of the Asociación del Instituto de Diseñadores Gráficos.
