Born in Barcelona and self-taught, Morillas began his career in graphic arts at the Seix Barral publishing company, becoming vice-president of the FAD group of graphic designers (ADG/FAD) in 1962 and a member of the International Graphic Alliance, AGI in 1966. In this way, he helped establish the profession of graphic design in Spain together with his ADG/FAD colleagues while teaching design at the Massana school in Barcelona and producing work for various companies.
His work includes more than 700 catalogued works of art, sculpture, and graphic, industrial and interior design.
