Ricard Fàbregas Fàbregas, 1906-1947

Born in the city of Barcelona, where he learned his trade from his father, the renowned industrial draftsman Josep Fàbregas.

Ricard Fàbregas went on to study at the school of the Llotja, dividing his activity between easel painting and drawing related to graphic arts. His illustrations for the devotional librettos of the promotion of Catalan piety, as well as the publicity for the annual celebrations of the Society of Master tailors, are widely disseminated.

The posters he designed during the Civil War brought him his greatest recognition.

He died very young, at age forty-one, leaving behind numerous samples of his versatility, particularly drawings that demonstrate diverse applications of his mastery.
