Advertising of the 20s of the 20th century of the product JARABE BEBÉ. A product indicated to combat unruly cough in adults and whooping cough in children.
 
Whooping cough, or whooping cough, is a highly contagious acute infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract caused by the gram-negative bacterium Bordetella pertussis. It is characterized by tracheobronchial inflammation and typical fits of violent and spasmodic cough with a sensation of suffocation that end with a shrill noise during inspiration.
 
Jarabe Bebé was an original product from the Pons, Moreno and Cª laboratories located in Burjasot (Valencia) but distributed exclusively by the “J. Uriach y Cia. Sociedad en Comandita”.
